Chiltern Transport & Warehousing Limited specialise in Road Haulage, Palletised Distribution, Warehousing and Freight Forwarding. As a “Trusted Carrier”, we have access to “Amazon Carrier Central”, which gives us the ability to make bookings on your behalf, so whether it will be 1 pallet or a Full Load, we will complete the booking for you. We have in place agreed weekly booking slots with all the Amazon Distribution Centres. This allows us to consolidate freight on one of these bookings for up to 8 full pallets; it’s simple, supply us with the purchase order number, carton and pallet count, and we do the rest.
As we enter our 37th year of trading, the company continues to experience strong growth. Both our Pitstone and Chartmoor Road warehouses are now at full capacity, enabling us to further secure our future with the addition of a new 56,000 sq. ft. high-bay warehouse in Leighton Buzzard. This facility will hold a further 9,000 pallets, taking our total warehousing footprint to over 110,000 sq. ft. with capacity for 13,000 pallets.
Our pallet network division also continues to expand. With our ongoing commitment to serving the LU postcode, network operations will transfer to the new site from 1st December 2025, ensuring we maintain our obligations to the network and support our 100% KPI performance.
We have also invested over £3 million in a fleet renewal programme, including new vehicles and a range of trailers to enhance our image and support driver retention. This investment includes the introduction of longer 15.65m semi-trailers, enabling the company to reduce kilometres travelled and lower its CO₂e impact on the environment.
