Chiltern Transport & Warehousing Limited specialise in Road Haulage, Palletised Distribution, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding and Chilled & Frozen Transport. As a “Trusted Carrier” we have access to “Amazon Carrier Central” which gives us the ability to make bookings on your behalf, so whether it will be 1 pallet or a Full Load, we will complete the booking for you. We have in place agreed weekly booking slots with all the Amazon Distribution Centres, this allows us to consolidate freight on one of these booking for up to 8 full pallets; its simple, supply us with the purchase order number, carton and pallet count and we do the rest.
In 2019 we celebrated our 30th year of trading with the signing of a 10-year extension to our Pitstone, Buckinghamshire site; coupled with this, as the pandemic began to affect all of us, we recognised the need of a second warehouse and with the cooperation of our landlord, quickly secured a second site in Chartmoor Road, Leighton Buzzard, allowing us to hold an additional 2000 pallets. We also invested over 2 million pounds, on a replacement program of new vehicles and trailers to enhance our image and confirm our commitment to driver retention. This included the longer 15.65m semi-trailer, allowing the Company to reduce its Km travelled and CO2e impact on the environment. 2020 also saw our expansion into a new Chilled Division, meaning that we are now able to accommodate chilled or frozen transport.
